Marketing/Proposal Traineeship

Location: Minneapolis, MN; travel as needed to other project locations.
Expected time commitment is 40-50 hours per week.

Ceres Environment Services Inc. is an international disaster response and civil construction company with Minneapolis-based administration. The company is currently seeking a new Marketing/Proposal Assistant. Trainee will be directly responsible to Director of Marketing Communications, Dawn Brown.

Train in the following areas:
- Produces electronic and paper proposal deliverables
- Maintains schedule of deadlines and proposal requirements
- Assists in the maintenance of company drive of generic proposal documents
- Maintains and orders proposal supplies
- Document merging and production
- Preparation of PowerPoint slides/presentations
- Brochure design assistance and production
- Support to Social Media efforts

Qualifications:
- Master Degree in Marketing, Business, Technical Writing or related discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Work skills
- Strong PowerPoint and Adobe Professional Suite skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, primarily Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Some exposure to PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (including In-Design)
- Strong organizational and time management skills Attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member

Compensation and benefits:
- Hourly based salary of about 2200$ (plus overtime compensation)

TRAINEE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS
- The candidate must be available for an 18 month J1 Training plan.
- Visa sponsorship is provided at The Company cost
- If selected, the candidate should be available to arrive to the USA within 45-60 days maximum.
- The regular full-time training hours are 40-50 hours per week. Training and program hours are strictly monitored. Should we find it necessary for any additional or specially modified training hours, these hours must be approved in advance.
- Candidates are paid per hour.
- The Company will not apply for an extended US Visa at the conclusion of the 18 month J1 training plan. Career opportunities after program completion will be discussed individually.
- The Company will provide personalized recommendation letters to inquiring companies following the successful completion of the J1 training plan. We will be happy to help!
- The training is a full-time program. The Company expects the Trainee to be present, well-rested, hard-working, serious, and dedicated.
- After training for 60 days, Trainees begin to earn “benefits” such as paid vacation time and paid national holidays such as Independence Day, Christmas, USA Thanksgiving, and others.
- Candidates should carefully review the company’s website (www.ceresenvironmental.com). As a disaster response company there is a strong likelihood of a field ops or “deployed” environment. Candidates seeking very traditional and consistent day to day office hours and conditions may find a deployed scenario challenging
- Trainee spouses: The Company in no way will assist trainees with their spouses' visas, insurance, airplane tickets, legal matters, financial support or any other issue. Bringing a spouse is trainees' full responsibility.
- Driver's license is necessary (International or US). We strongly recommend to secure an international driver’s license BEFORE arriving as the process can be time-consuming
- Trainees must purchase their own vehicle or provide own transportation. The company covers transportation for the first 3 weeks of internship. Company car loan possible (up to $5000, to be paid within 12 months or sooner)
- Insurance is provided through visa sponsor "CETUSA". Trainees can additionally enroll in Ceres Benefit Plan at their own cost. Ceres insurance plan options are provided to trainees after hiring.

DevOps Engineer

GraduateLocation: Houston, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Sarasota, FL; travel as needed to other project locations.

Ceres Environment Services Inc. is an international disaster response and civil construction company with Minneapolis-based administration. The company is currently seeking a new IT trainee. Trainee will be directly responsible to Director of HR, Tim Karlen but will likely be asked to conduct activities requested by other Ceres Environmental executives.http://www.ceresenvironmental.com/

Train in the following areas:
1. Assist with the planning and implementation of any system-wide network additions, deletions and modifications
2. Help plan, oversee and implement refinements in network security
3. Suggest improvements, enhancements, cost reductions for current Hosted Exchange system, VOIP system
4. Develop an IT SWOT analysis and report weekly to company senior leadership on IT department projects
5. Proactively work with key managers and employees to review operational processes: timekeeping, payroll, logistics/trucking, human resources to research and suggest ways in which IT can further corporate objectives
6. Bring fresh mindset to department relative to new technologies, opportunities for improved outcomes, reduced costs
7. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science; Computer & Information Technology; Information Technology or Information Systems and Technology Management systems or related discipline
- Hands-on IT department experience
- Knowledge and work experience of Virtual machines (VM-Ware), Windows Server, MS SQL, VBA, MS Access
- Good oral, written English language skills (minimum level: Intermediate)
An advantage will be:
- ETL systems knowledge - (Pentaho or others)
- Roles service knowledge – (Ldap or others)
- Authorization services experience
- MSIT Program completion
