Career Development Centre

HSE University has hosted a project-based career school organised by the Yandex Cloud Centre for Technologies and Society and the HSE Career Development Centre. The programme was intended for second-to-fourth-year bachelor’s students and first-to-second-year master's students of programmes related to social, technical, and business subjects. The school was aimed at students interested in solving social problems using AI technologies.

IT giants and investment funds, banks and international corporations — more than three dozen employers took part in the HSE Career Marathon. Company recruiters told students what vacancies for young professionals were open in various departments, what they look for when selecting employees and what skills they particularly value.

Gender discrimination is not uncommon in research and education nowadays. According to HSE researchers, women employed at universities have fewer research publications, are paid less, and hold fewer executive positions.
